LWSD students and staff are invited to this informal roundtable to learn more about LWPTSA Council’s Scholarship Program for LWSD graduating seniors and certificated staff members. Bring your questions about the program or the applications!
Join us on Tuesday, March 4, at 10 am in the Hughes Room at the LWSD Resource Center. We’ll welcome guests from Go Redmond as we discuss the Redmond SchoolPool program and ways we can reduce traffic congestion and air pollution on our school commutes.
The LWPTSA Sustainability Committee is made up of local sustainability chairs at schools across the district. The committee has worked on a range of issues, including food recovery, waste reduction, composting, green cleaning, no-idle zones, herbicide-free schools, and engaging and supporting students in their efforts to combat climate change and create a livable planet.
Sustainability Committee meetings for 2024-2025 will be a mix of in-person meetings at the LWSD Resource Center (16250 NE 74th St., Redmond WA 98052) as well as online sessions via Zoom.
