Join members of the LWSD community and our Eastside district neighbors for a town hall on the school funding crisis. Together we can strengthen and amplify our efforts to advocate for FULLY FUNDING EDUCATION for all children!

The state of Washington continues to fall short of its paramount, constitutional duty to fully fund basic K-12 education, which has forced:
  • School closures
  • Increased class sizes
  • Program cuts
  • Reduced class periods
  • Staffing cuts
  • Severe shortfalls in special education and transportation

Managing Your Nonprofit PTA (WSPTA Training) @ Online on Zoom

The financial management of the PTA is the responsibility of the entire board of directors. At this free, WSPTA-approved training, learn the basic financial skills to manage and track PTA funds, online accounts, legal obligations to maintain your tax-exempt status and other considerations. Recommended for all elected officers and board members.

WSPTA has changed the date of this event from its original date (Jan. 8) to Thursday, January 9, 2025, due to panelist availability. The time will remain the same.

Join Legislative Consultant Marie Sullivan and leaders of the Washington State Legislature for a discussion about priorities during the 2025 Legislative Session.

LWPTSA Council Membership Meeting @ Online on Zoom

LWPTSA Council Membership Meeting @ Online on Zoom

All local PTA leaders are invited to attend our monthly membership meetings, typically held the first Thursday of the month during the school year. Meetings will mostly be during daytime hours, with occasional evening meeting times, and will be a mix of in-person and virtual Zoom meetings. At least one elected leader from each of our area PTA/PTSA units is expected to attend each meeting. Additional leaders are always welcomed.

In-person membership meetings will be held at the Lake Washington School District Resource Center in Redmond Town Center. The LWSD Resource Center address is: 16250 NE 74th St., Redmond WA 98052. Zoom meeting links for our online meetings will be available in the Weekly Waves newsletter that all local PTA leaders receive.
