A Call to Action for Universal Free Lunch and Ending School Lunch Debt
Did you know that the LWPTSA Council recently passed a resolution advocating for the elimination of school lunch debt and supporting universal free school lunches?
This is a monumental step forward, but there’s still more to do—and you can be part of this important advocacy effort!
We’re joining forces with other incredible initiatives, like Washington Family Engagement (WAFE), to amplify our voices for equitable school lunch policies. Together, we can make a difference for all children in our schools.
Join Us for WAFE’s Advocacy Day in Olympia!
When: Wednesday, February 5, 2025, 10 am to 3 pm
Where: Washington State Capitol, Olympia
This is your chance to meet with legislators and advocate for policies that impact our kids, including universal free lunches.
Details:
- Lunch, beverages and snacks will be provided.
- A bus will transport attendees along I-5, starting in Bellingham and stopping at key points along the way.
