Join WSPTA to discuss why a volunteer recognition program is so important to retaining and growing the volunteers you have, and how to create a culture of appreciation, welcome and belonging.

This is the most important and useful class of them all, as it will prepare you and your fellow officers to run your PTA with an eye toward the important legal and fiscal requirements in running a nonprofit. PTA and the Law deals with state and federal rules and regulations relevant to running a charitable, tax-exempt, nonprofit corporation in the state of Washington, and will explain how these rules impact your PTA. PTA and the Law is a required class for at least one elected officer per PTA each year.
Don’t miss your PTA’s last chance to fulfill their requirement to have an officer attend for the 2024-25 term.
Welcome to the final session of WSPTA’s three-part leadership workshop! This final event will have a brief overview of the preceding sessions and then we’ll work on in-person presenting and facilitating. We’ll cover preparation and the actual events. The culmination of this series will help your confidence in some of the public-facing tasks a leader in PTA often performs. Again, space is limited, so register now!
Building a goal-based budget is key to the success of PTAs. Learn how to assess your PTA’s financial management practices and how to develop and amend budgets. Topics discussed in this class are not covered in the class “Managing Your Nonprofit PTA.”

WSPTA is excited to announce the 112th Washington State PTA Convention and Annual Business Meeting, taking place from May 2-4, 2025, in Lynnwood, WA. This three-day event is a fantastic opportunity for PTA leaders to come together, share ideas, and gain valuable insights.
With our motto, “Building Community,” at the heart of Convention, we aim to foster a sense of unity and collaboration among all attendees. Our in-person event will feature a diverse lineup of interactive workshops, networking sessions, and important General Sessions designed to inspire and empower participants. You’ll have the chance to learn from PTA experts, participate in hands-on activities, and connect with fellow PTA leaders from across the state.
Whether you’re a seasoned leader or new to the organization, this conference offers something for everyone. Don’t miss this chance to be part of a dynamic and supportive community dedicated to making a positive impact on our schools and students.
