Join WSPTA to discuss financial reporting, document storage, and non-signer statement reviews. This roundtable is aimed at treasurers and others from your board of directors that have financial questions, including your non-signer that reviews your bank and online payment statements each month.

NOTE: This class was originally scheduled on 10/12 but moved due to a conflict.
This is the most important and useful class of them all, as it will prepare you and your fellow officers to run your PTA with an eye toward the important legal and fiscal requirements in running a nonprofit. PTA and the Law deals with state and federal rules and regulations relevant to running a charitable, tax-exempt, nonprofit corporation in the state of Washington, and will explain how these rules impact your PTA. PTA and the Law is a required class for at least one elected officer per PTA each year.
LWPTSA Council presents a webinar: Learn About LWSD’s Active Assailant Protocols, on Thursday, Oct. 24, from 6 to 7:30 pm, via Zoom.

- How multi-option preparedness is useful and consistent with other emergency preparedness responses

- 2024-2025 emergency procedure terminology changes and drill schedule
- How parents can facilitate discussions on the topic
- How to manage our fears of active threat situations
