On April 24 at noon, join us on Zoom to learn about how our school district is planning to be future-ready for our students. How is LWSD anticipating and preparing to accommodate changing trends in elementary student registration and classroom structuring in the coming years? What curriculum can families expect to see next school year? Bring your questions for our guests from LWSD Leadership: Dr. Jen Rose, Associate Superintendent of Instructional Services, and Dale Cote, Associate Superintendent of School Support Services.

At our final Lunch & Learn of the year, join us as we welcome Jon Kollman, LWSD Director of Transportation Services, who will discuss district transportation. At our April meeting, we had powerful conversations and brainstormed ideas about building a culture of inclusion in our PTSA events. This time, we’ll be diving deeper by exploring what it means to have an inclusive culture, and how we can bring it to life.
Together, we’ll:
- Reflect on inclusive values and practices
- Work in small groups to develop action plans for creating more welcoming, inclusive PTSA events and activities
- Connect with others who are passionate about meaningful inclusion
Whether you were there in the last meeting or joining us for the first time, your voice matters. We’d love to have you with us as we continue this important work. This meeting is recommended for PTA presidents and parents who volunteer in PTSA events or activities!
Join LWPTSA Council’s Scholarship Awards Reception and Presentation Ceremony as we celebrate the recipients of our 2025 scholarships! Families of student recipients, teachers, friends and scholarship program judges are all invited to join us to celebrate our Class of 2025 scholars.
We ask each of our local PTA presidents and their school principal to attend this yearly workshop, designed to help lay a foundation for the ’25-’26 academic year. We will cover the purposes and limitations of PTAs and school administrators, conflict resolution, and other topics to help PTAs and schools build strong partnerships.
We have revamped the event this year to be shorter, less repetitive, and with more time for networking.
One principal from each school is required to attend this event. PTA presidents should prioritize attendance. If your PTA’s president is unable to attend, another board member should be designated to participate.

This is a great opportunity for families to learn about the school district, ask questions, and meet other LWSD families. Whether you’ve moved from a different county or from a different country, this event is for you!

Join us for an evening of connection, conversation, and community impact! The Lake Washington PTSA Council is hosting a lively, interactive forum featuring School Board Candidates from Districts 3 and 4. This is your chance to hear directly from those seeking to represent LWSD families—and to ask the questions that matter most to you.
WHEN: Wednesday, Oct. 15 at 7 pm; doors open at 6:30 pm
Secondary Session: 10 to 11 am
WHERE: LWSD Resource Center Board Room (map)
🕡 Doors open at 6:30 PM for casual networking with fellow families and students.
🗣️ At 7 PM, the moderated Q&A begins, with candidates rotating through thoughtful, time-limited responses to questions submitted online and in person.
💬 Want to shape the conversation? Submit your anonymous questions by October 12 using our online form.
