WSPTA is excited to announce the 113th Washington State PTA Convention and Annual Business Meeting, taking place from May 15–17, 2025, at the DoubleTree SeaTac [hotel website] [map of location]. This three-day event is a fantastic opportunity for PTA leaders to come together, share ideas, and gain valuable insights.
Our in-person event will feature a diverse lineup of interactive workshops, networking sessions, and important general sessions designed to inspire and empower participants. You’ll have the chance to learn from PTA experts, participate in activities, and connect with fellow PTA leaders from across the state.
Whether you’re a seasoned leader or new to the organization, this conference offers something for everyone. Don’t miss this chance to be part of a dynamic and supportive community dedicated to making a positive impact on our schools and students.

LWPTSA Council invites everyone to join us at noon on Thursday, Jan. 22 for our next Lunch & Learn as we welcome Katy Phillips, Executive Director. This is rescheduled from our November L&L when we had technical difficulties. Katy will share about the mission and the focus areas of the Foundation. She will explain how the programs and funding initiatives are achieving our mission by making a difference in the lives of LWSD students. Bring your questions and concerns, and we’ll see you at lunch!

LWPTSA Council’s Lunch & Learn series consists of short presentations and Q&A on topics of interest to our school community, from noon – 1 pm on select Thursdays online via Zoom. Grab your lunch, log on, and learn with us! Event links will be shared on our website calendar, social media and newsletters close to the event dates. Topics and featured speakers are subject to change and will be updated as they are finalized.

Annual Corporation Renewal
March 31
If your PTA incorporated this month, the annual corporation renewal is due; regardless of the income your PTA earns. This is separate from the Charitable Organization registration/renewal. When you are about to file, click File Online for Nonprofits.
You can check the status of your renewal on the Secretary of State’s website. Enter your UBI number and you will be provided with details of your PTA’s corporation registration.
All local PTA leaders are invited to attend our monthly membership meetings, typically held the first Thursday of the month during the school year. Meetings will mostly be during daytime hours, with occasional evening meeting times, and will be a mix of in-person and virtual Zoom meetings. At least one leader from each of our area PTA/PTSA units is expected to attend each meeting. Additional leaders are always welcomed.
In-person membership meetings will be held at the Lake Washington School District Resource Center in Redmond Town Center. The LWSD Resource Center address is: 16250 NE 74th St., Redmond WA 98052. Zoom meeting links for our online meetings will be available in the Weekly Waves newsletter that all local PTA leaders receive.
