PTA and the Law (WSPTA Training) @ Virtual

This is the most important and useful class of them all, as it will prepare you and your fellow officers to run your PTA with an eye toward the important legal and fiscal requirements in running a nonprofit. PTA and the Law deals with state and federal rules and regulations relevant to running a charitable, tax-exempt, nonprofit corporation in the state of Washington, and will explain how these rules impact your PTA. PTA and the Law is a required class for at least one elected officer per PTA each year.

Our March Sustainability Committee meeting is coming up, and you donut want to miss it! This time we’ll be gathering in person, and *coffee* *coffee* rumor has it that meeting attendees might be met with more than just food for thought.

Join us at 11 am on Tuesday, March 5, in the Hughes Room at the LWSD Resource Center, as we discuss “SchoolPool: Walk, Roll, and Ride to School,” with some local government representatives present for discussion and Q&A.

Local PTA sustainability chairs and others interested in sustainability are invited to the discussion. Share what’s happening at your school, or just come to listen and learn. We hope to see you there.
