All new and returning leaders, please join us from the comfort of your home, hotel, or phone! Position-specific trainings, roundtables, specialized classes, and networking opportunities are on the agenda for this year. This is the most important and useful class of them all, as it will prepare you and your fellow officers to run your PTA with an eye toward the important legal and fiscal requirements in running a nonprofit. PTA and the Law deals with state and federal rules and regulations relevant to running a charitable, tax-exempt, nonprofit corporation in the state of Washington, and will explain how these rules impact your PTA. PTA and the Law is a required class for at least one elected officer per PTA each year.
WSPTA is providing a virtual training about how to run the National PTA Reflections program at your school or council level. A brief overview of the program will be provided along with deadline/timeline review and helpful tips for arranging judging and submitting your winning entries to state. There will be a question and answer session at the end of the presentation, and we will be recording the September presentation for those that are unable to attend. This presentation is geared towards new Reflection chairs but also includes information that experienced chairs will need.
