Our October 1st Membership Meeting welcomed representatives from 34 (out of 44) PTAs. Attendees sat with their AVP area and hopefully had the chance to network with their AVP and/or neighboring PTA leaders.
Presentation included:
- Dr. Holmen providing an update about the Town Halls and answering questions regarding personal devices.
- Appointments for the Financial Review Committee and Voting Delegates for this year’s Legislative Assembly.
- Elections for Secretary, FACE, and voting in our Nominating Committee.
- Ballot votes for the 3 November Ballot initiatives. Membership voted to oppose all 3 initiatives.
- PTA Leaders had a chance to network with their fellow PTA leaders.
- Presidents and Committee Reports
A few items to note:
- Add Abuse and Molestation coverage ($5) when renewing your Insurance.
- 25 members need to be entered into Givebacks by the end of October for your PTA to be in ‘good-standing’. Please reach out to your AVP if you need assistance.
- Principal and Presidents Meeting and our first Special Education Group mtg are all scheduled for Oct 6th.
