Convention 2026

Get Ready for the 2026 WSPTA Convention!

The 113th Washington State PTA Convention and Annual Business Meeting is just weeks away! Taking place from May 15 to May 17 in Seattle, this three-day event is a fantastic opportunity for our local leaders to come together, share ideas, and gain valuable insights to bring back to the Lake Washington region.

The event will feature a diverse lineup of interactive workshops, networking sessions, and important General Sessions designed to inspire and empower participants. Whether you are a seasoned leader or new to the organization, you will have the chance to learn from PTA experts, participate in hands-on activities, and connect with fellow PTA leaders from across the state.

Important Upcoming Deadlines

Please ensure your local unit delegates are registered so your PTA’s voice is heard during voting.

  • Regular Delegate Registration: Closes on Monday, May 4, at 12:00 p.m.
  • Merch Store: Closes on Tuesday, May 5.
  • Whova App Access: Access to the Whova platform will be sent to all attendees after regular delegate registration is finalized.

Register and find more information on the WSPTA Event Page.

Parking Warning: Carpool, Carpool, Carpool!

As we return to the same venue used for Legislative Assembly, many of you may recall the significant parking challenges at that event. Please keep in mind that Convention typically draws a much larger crowd than Legislative Assembly, and parking will be extremely limited.

We strongly encourage all LWPTSA attendees to coordinate and carpool. Reach out to your local PTA board, connect with fellow LWPTSA leaders, and share a ride. It is the most reliable way to ensure you have a spot, save on parking fees, and spend time with your team.

Public Transportation Options

If you prefer to avoid the parking situation entirely, public transit is a viable option, though please plan for the trip to take approximately two hours from the Eastside. Since our members are coming from Kirkland, Redmond, and Sammamish, the most efficient route will vary.

We recommend using the King County Metro Trip Planner to find your specific route. Generally, you can expect to:

  1. Plan Your Route: Use the DoubleTree address (18740 International Blvd, Seattle, WA 98188) and set your “Arrive By” time to account for early morning sessions.
  2. Connect to a Hub: Take a local bus to a major Eastside transit center.
  3. Head to SeaTac: Depending on your location, you will either take the Link Light Rail through Seattle to the SeaTac/Airport Station, or catch the Sound Transit Express 560 Bus down I-405.
  4. Arrive at the Venue: Once at SeaTac, it is roughly a 10-minute walk to the hotel, or you can catch the complimentary DoubleTree shuttle from the third floor of the SeaTac Airport parking garage (look for shuttle #1).
