On June 14, at 10 am, LWPTSA Council will host a DEI Roundtable on the topic of allyship. Attendees are encouraged to take 10 minutes to watch this National PTA video before joining the discussion via Zoom. Below are some of the questions, we will be working through during the roundtable. All PTA leaders are welcome to attend, and we welcome your thoughts and questions.
- What are some specific examples of allyship at work within PTA?
- What are some ways PTA can show allyship and also center marginalized voices?
- How do we learn to be better allies? Around which marginalized groups do we have more learning to do, to be an ally?
- How do you take allyship one step further into co-conspiratorship?
