Family Education (Formerly Parent Education)

2024-2025 Family Education Chair: OPEN – Family.Ed {at} LWPTSA.net

We work with our local PTAs and PTSAs to support parent and family education at the school level, as well as education outreach at the district-wide community level. Our goals include:

  • Award grants to support parent and family education programs for our local PTAs.
  • Work with Lake Washington School District to provide district-wide education programs.
  • Provide resources and support to our PTA leaders to help facilitate parent and family education at the local level.
  • Provides assembly grants to local PTAs for arranging student assemblies at schools to support student enrichment.

Have an idea for a great speaker, workshop or community outreach event? Need help finding a speaker, or just new and want to brainstorm? We’d love to hear from you! Contact our Family Education Chair at Family.Ed {at} LWPTSA.net.

Family Education Grants

LWPTSA Council has two grant opportunities each year that are available to local PTAs:

Please note that for both grants you must apply a minimum of 45 days in advance of your event.
