Explore These Community Advocacy Opportunities With the LWCLC
With the kids back in school and the temperature dropping, the LWSD levy campaign is kicking into full gear! As a volunteer-run organization, the Lake Washington Citizens Levy Committee relies on parents, teachers and community members to ensure we support LWSD kids at the ballot box this November.
LWPTSA Council endorses the levy, and we hope you will not only vote “yes” this November to help ensure that every student in LWSD learns in safe, healthy and modern schools—but we also encourage you to show your support through the following advocacy actions:
- Join us in endorsing the levy. You can add your support as an individual, or your PTA may place a vote on the agenda of your next membership meeting.*
- Request a yard sign to show your support.
- Join the LWCLC at one of their many upcoming voter contact events. Training will be provided; no experience needed.
- Oct.3 — Phonebanking
- Oct. 5 — Doorbelling in Redmond
- Oct. 17 — Phonebanking and texting
- See all opportunities here.
- Sign up to volunteer for other opportunities.
* If your PTA wishes to vote on endorsing and supporting the levy, refer to this resource from Washington State PTA to learn more about this process.
