We are excited to continue our Courageous Conversations for Diversity and Inclusion series! Join us as we welcome back Ilsa Gowan, an acclaimed speaker and advocate for social justice, who will lead us in an engaging discussion on “Understanding Systemic Racism.”
This session will delve into the structural systems and policies that have historically contributed to inequality and explore how we can actively work toward equity in our communities.
Council’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee meets one Wednesday each month of the school year (with the exception of September and June) at 11:30 am. During the 2024-2025 year, meetings will be held online via Zoom.
DEI chairs and other interested leaders from PTAs and PTSAs in the Lake Washington School District are invited to these monthly meetings to discuss DEI issues and advocacy initiatives that impact our students and families.
