This week, we’re starting with item number one:

Closing the Funding Gaps

The Washington State PTA is dedicated to ensuring every student has access to fully funded, equitable education. Here’s how you can advocate effectively and access the resources you need to make an impact.

How to Advocate Effectively:

  1. Stay Informed: Understand how funding gaps impact your district and the solutions being proposed.
  2. Engage Legislators: Use personal stories to highlight the importance of fully funding education. Contact your representatives through letters, emails or calls.
  3. Use Social Media: Amplify your voice with posts, updates and hashtags like #FundOurSchools and #WAPTAAdvocacy.
  4. Join Advocacy Events: Attend PTA-hosted advocacy events, legislative days and school board meetings to stay active and informed.
  5. Collaborate Locally: Engage other PTA members, parents and community leaders to create a unified message.
