The LWPTSA Council board and membership have voted* to oppose Initiative 2109, aligning with the Washington State PTA. The initiative seeks to repeal the capital gains tax, a vital funding source for public education and school construction.
Repealing this tax would significantly impact essential programs that support students, early learning, and school infrastructure. LWPTSA Council stands with WSPTA in advocating for sustainable education funding and urges all voters to vote NO on Initiative 2109 to protect our children’s future.
