Each year, National PTA honors outstanding state, council, local and individual PTA advocates for taking action to improve the education, health, safety and well-being of every child. Award categories are:
- Outstanding Local PTA Advocacy
- Outstanding State PTA Advocacy
- Outstanding Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advocacy
- Shirley Igo Advocate of the Year
- Outstanding Youth Advocate of the Year
Do you know an individual or a PTA whose advocacy efforts over the past year have engaged and empowered families and communities? Have you successfully advocated to improve children’s and families’ lives? Submit a nomination form by November 30 at 8:59 pm PST!
The National PTA Legislation Committee and the National PTA President will review all nominations. Any PTA member may submit a nomination, and PTA presidents may nominate their own PTAs that are in good standing. Winners will be announced in January and recognized at the Virtual National PTA Legislative Conference in March.
